The left bank of the Ishim river

Several decades ago, the Ishim river in the central part of the town looked very different from what we see today. The footbridge across the Ishim, shown in the photo, was built in the 1960s and connected the town with the park area, beach, and the children's railway—the main Tselinograd children's entertainment. Previously, to reach the park, one had to use a rather rickety wooden bridge across the Ishim. Each year, the rotten boards that weren’t swept away by the floods were dismantled, leaving only the piles for the winter. From this bridge, one could enjoy the beauty of the river.
