Burbay Seitov’s house

It was one of the first civil buildings of Akmolinsk.

The house was built in 1840s not far from modern city park near Ishim river.

Among citizens the first houses belonged to notable and rich people: senior sultan of Akmolinsk external circuit colonel Konurkuldzhe Hudaimendin, merchants brothers Nogaevs, Burbay Seitov and others. Akmolinsk merchants whose activity fell on 1870s developed commercial relations with Bukhara, Kokand, and Turkestan. Brothers Kostchegulov - Baimukhamed's sons - Kurmangali, Nurken, Vali, and Mukan are well known. The most well-to-do ones were Galiaskar and Syzdyk Khalfin, Nurken Zabirov, Ivan Silin, Peter Moiseev, Andrian and Matvey Kubrin.

By 1869 there lived 5122 people in Akmolinsk, and in 1910 the population made up already 13000 people of different ethnic groups.
