The Palace of Tselinniki

This unique construction was handed over in 1963, and citizens took great pride in the Palace. Equipped with lifting gears and control panels, the interior was adorned with marble, glass, and aluminum. Designed for 2,355 seats, it was considered the second largest in the USSR after the Kremlin Congress Palace in terms of size and equipment. After the capital moved from Alma-Ata to Astana, it was renamed first as The Republic Palace and later as the President Congress-Hall. From March 1997 to April 1998, it underwent a thorough reconstruction by the Czech firm "Techno-Art." Today, the Congress-Hall remains very popular among the city's residents and visitors.
